This web page is a demonstration of how videos of reactions to Windows will support the final “You-Do” portion of each data chapter in the Kids Make Sense book. This sample page is meant to demonstrate how the web pages will work to support readers’ ongoing development of their professional vision, supporting them to notice children’s brilliance and understand how to affirm children’s dignity in research.
On this page you will find only one finished comic. The primary author will not complete all of the comics until the text of the manuscript is set because the comics are highly labor intensive. Teo asks, “’s that Legos in your hand?” and Little Poof quickly moves to show Teo (via the camera) their Lego creation, naming it a “water truck.”

Little Poof explains that the water truck “brings water to everyone” and there is a grill that covers the fan, and there are cups and taps for the water. Teo asks if the water can come out both sides and Little Poof confirms, then says that it’s “just pretend.” Teo responds that we can still “think about how it would work.” Little Poof then says, “Yes” and “we can even turn it into different things.”

Little Poof emphasizes that the Water Truck is made of “widdle Legos.” Little Poof further explains that the water truck was in pieces, and Big Book asks, “You put it together?” Little Poof says yes, but explains they first arranged the Legos differently to make a different truck. Big Book says in surprise, “You did?” and Teo says, “Oh, you did it differently and then you changed it?” Big Book then asks if Little Poof looked at the instructions and they say no, then if they “did it yourself” and Little Poof says, “I did it how I wanted to make one” while Big Book holds the water truck up to the screen and Teo grinned and said, “Super cool!” Big Book then says, “What?! That’s so awesome!” and kisses Little Poof.
